About Us
Since 1985, the Kula Community Association (KCA) has been the leading voice on issues impacting our Kula community, specifically, and our Upcountry district, generally. KCA uses a Board of Directors elected by members of the community who have joined the KCA. When issues or problems arise, the Board discusses the matter, may take a position, inform the community, and advocate on behalf of our whole community. The Board is guided by our stated Vision and Purpose.
Annually, the Mayor and County Council seeks our advice on matters which need County funding and we provide them a prioritized list of the communityʻs needs. Throughout the year, we hold general community meetings that provide information on current issues and engagement with key county decision makers, while seeking the advice and recommendations of community members.
By working together with the county and state governments and individuals, associations, and groups within our community we seek to improve life in our Kula community.
Our Vision
To preserve open space, support agriculture, maintain a rural and residential atmosphere, and work together as a community
Our Purpose
To improve the quality of life for the residents of Kula, to promote civic welfare and, generally, to benefit the community of Kula.
