Water Task Force
We are working to create a collaborative effort between government, private industry, and the community associations of Maui to develop a long-term water delivery and storage system that will serve all the agriculture and domestic needs of the Upcountry community
Programs
We plan, publicize, and conduct three to four Community Meetings each year on topics impacting the welfare of our upcountry region. We invite key speakers, facilitate audience participation and create processes for group dialogue. In election years, we conduct Candidate Forums.
Kamehamenui Forest
We are monitoring the DLNR plans for this project, participating in community meetings on this topic, and preparing a KCA Board position in response to the final draft of the Kamehamenui Forest Property plan.
Digital Media
We are establishing new digital infrastructure for our website and newsletter, developing a digital media content calendar and implementing it across all our social media, and website. We need social media contributors.
Candidate Forum
We are hosting a televised Candidate Forum on September 11, 2024 at the Kula Community Center for county council candidates. Help us plan the selection of candidates to interview, the questions to ask and publicity.
